About Attorney James M. Baron |
|
Education My educational background includes the following: · J.D. (Juris Doctor), cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School; Suffolk Law Review staff member and editor; Suffolk Landlord / Tenant Clinic. · M. Ed. (Master’s in Education) from Emmanuel College · B.A. (Bachelor of Arts) with Honors in Economics, cum laude, from Brandeis University Practice Areas In my practice, I particularly welcome special education and other school-related issues. I also welcome other general practice issues that involve you and your family, such as: · Adoption · Landlord / Tenant Disputes · Estate Planning (including wills, trusts, living wills, powers of attorney, etc.) · Probate · Prenuptial agreements · Divorce Personal Experience and Philosophy I have personal experience with the special education system. I have lived through many of the frustrations that you now face. I understand how difficult it is to deal with issues that are so personal and emotional. My philosophy regarding the special education system is that nobody understands your child as well as you do. Teachers and administrators are well-intentioned, but they have dozens, hundreds, or even thousands of children to worry about; you have one. The solution may be as simple as an attorney analyzing your situation and providing education and guidance so that you can self-advocate, or it may require more direct and stronger legal action by an attorney. Either way, I welcome the opportunity to listen to your situation and offer counseling and advocacy. My goal will always be to help you resolve your issue as quickly and inexpensively as possible. Communication I firmly believe in the importance of communication with all parties, especially my clients. I will personally respond to all calls and e-mails as soon as possible. When you hire me, you will deal only with me, not an assistant or paralegal. I know how frustrating it is when you need information, and cannot get it. As attorney and client, we will work as a team. This is your case. You deserve not only an advocate and counselor, but also someone who will work with you and keep you informed.
